They share payment details with the merchant that's not good this is happening and this is happening at hotels.com go to Priceline instead they don't do that

I was on hold with hotels.com for approximately 25-30 minutes with them coming on the line every now and then telling me that there working with the hotel get me checked in. Eventually they came back on and they said that I had to move hotels they were moving me to hotel Elan. So we go over to the hotel elan. And I speak with the front desk worker and he looks like my reservation and he says that he found my reservation but it's on a screen that's not populated with his other screen of people that check in.
He said did I have any other details about the room and I said yeah I was moved over here from motel 6 from hotels.com are you aware of hotels.com contacting you about this issue? He said he was going to have to call them and get more details. So I get on my phone and I call hotels.com and I asked them about my reservation and I gave the details and I verified the reservation. I'll try that concert they wanted to speak to the hotel merchant at that point and I said okay I'll just pass them over to you cuz they were already on the phone.
He takes my phone and he goes inside the office and has a conversation a little bit approximately 15 minutes with hotels.com and he comes back outside and he tells me that he couldn't verify the payment yet so that basically I had no way he could check me in. he just walked away. I said I already paid for the room you got verified the room I verified the hotel reservation. So if I could verify that that means I paid so where is my room I paid for cuz I'm not receiving.
He just walked away. Mind you I have mental health issues and I'm not about ready to let this guy take me for my money so I go over to pick up a garbage can or slam it right into his car. The window smashes and I dented in his passenger door. I walk out of the hotel right and I start walking down the street on the sidewalk and the guy pulls up in his car he pulls ahead of me blocks me in and then she put hands on me.
He hit me about three times. The cops showed up basically put hands on me and then calls the cops to have me arresteted. So bottom line I got a ticket for vandalism and he got a ticket for something too but I don't know what it was for they didn't the cops didnt those details with me. And a year later which is around right about now it's happening on October 19th 2022.
I did not stay at that room I had to sleep in my car with my girlfriend because we had nowhere to stay and this hotel just took my money and said basically we can't verify the payment but I already verified it. Hotels.com paid them. Call me they would give me a hotel voucher as a courtesy you know to hold me over until I got my refund. Now they're telling the voucher is acting as payment of the refund so basically all I get is the voucher and they can keep my refund.
If anybody ever offers you about your it's called a courtesy it's not something that is considered a payment for anything that's why they call it voucher. They keep escalating my case with no resolution. It's in a year and they haven't paid me my money yet back it's been a year what is a voucher it's a courtesy and tat's all I did is they just gave me a voucher. it wasn't until a year later that they shared with me that my car has been flagged with suspicious activity.
They told me they weren't supposed to share this with me and I think you could get fired if they found out that they had this information with me. I'll use the card for was the book of the room one time and that was at motel 6 so what did I tell you? She's a merchant at that point or the third party right?
The third party moved me hotels so basically it was the merchant because they took the money and didn't let me check in the room but they considered me checked in. How do I know this look on the site at your booking and it says that I checked in at a certain time and I checked out at a certain times but I never I never checked in.

User's recommendation: Do Not Book with Hotels.com any third party vendor that shares from payment details with the hotel or crooks. they take payment from you and they paid the hotel. they're not supposed to share the payment details with the merchant. this opens up a big window of opportunity for the hotel to take place payment again from you and you won't even realize it because it shows up as payment on your credit card or debit card and then it shows up a payment again on hotels.com because they can pay me from you. this happened twice and one night for me because I tried charging my car two times at each time a hotel and my car only had enough to pay for the room for one night that's why it came up a suspicious because why are all these transactions coming from one hotel. it's the merchant and the third party that are charging you. that's why I decided to take marriage with my own hands and just crack that these car with a *** garbage can and break his window because now he's got to come out of pocket for that because you just took my money

On February 5, 2024 I booked a condo in the Orlando area for a four day stay on Hotels.com, checking in 2/29/2024 and checking out 3/4/2024. The receipt and instructions I received from Hotels.com stated I would get correspondence from the property prior to my arrival on 2/29.
As of the morning of 2/29 I had not received any emails with key codes for the parking lot gate nor the condo itself. I called the property and they could not locate my reservation. On my behalf, they called Hotels.com to verify my reservation. Hotels.com never sent the reservation to the property management team.
The property manager responded via text that they did not have the reservation but they could accommodate me, however I would have to move to a different unit halfway though my trip because of prior commitments. They also stated that the last two days would be an upgraded unit but that they would cover the cost. During my trip on March 1st I contacted Hotels.com via their chat to request some sort of compensation for their obvious screw up. It was clear no matter how many times I describe my issue Floyd could not understand my problem.
He said it would be escalated to his management. I then received an email on March 4th stating they were unable to get a refund form the property. I stated that I did not want a refund from the condo because they in fact fixed the problem and accommodated me. I declared I wanted a refund from Hotels.com.
They then asked me for a phone number where they could reach me (its in my Hotels.com profile duh) and a convenient time. Since I work 730 am to 5 pm CST I asked them to reach me after 5 so I could be sure to be available. They said that was outside of their operating hours and could not accommodate me. To that I replied, but I was on a chat with your support people at 7:30 pm so that logic really didnt work for me.
I got no response. I will also add that I had purchased groceries (refrigerator required) for the condo that had to be thrown away because I had to move units, hence I had to check out of the old one by 10 am and I could not check into the new unit until after 4.
I have been a Hotels.com patron for years and currently have Gold status. This is not the first time I have showed up to a hotel I have booked and not had my reservation recognized, without any resolution from Hotels.com.
The lack of customer service is astonishing and furthermore their support lines are staffed from overseas so communication is difficult at best. I will be going directly to hotel chain websites for future bookings and also not using VRBO since they have been absorbed by Hotels.com

I have receipt of payment.
I went to the hotel (Hotel La Franchesca in Tabio Cundinamarca) on Thursday March 7 and the hotel does not have my reservation.
I contacted hotels.com from the hotel.
Hotels.com is unable to speak with the office manager of the hotel and is unable to resolve the situation.
I have to leave the hotel without a reservation for that night.
I requested hotels.com to refund the payment that I made for the reservation.
A reservation that was not found by the hotel. A reservation a paid in advance to hotels.com.
hotels.com refused to refund my payment even though it was their fault.

I have been called by the same company over and over. They also go by different names, but end up being the same shysters in the end.
We have paid $1185, but have never been able to take advantage of their program. When we did try to book a trip, the fees cost more than if I had just called the 2 star, flea bitten hotels directly. They promise so much and deliver nothing. I am ashamed of myself that I let them get as much money out of me as they did.
When I read the fine pring, I knew I was in trouble.
Also have called themselves AMG, Allen Marketing Group, Vacation Offer and other names. As a side note - Don't ever use JustFly either!

I have since filed a dispute with my credit card company.
No where through my reservation process through hotels.com was I made aware there were no pets allowed on premise. I arrived d on 9/5/23 at Cascade Lodge and was treated very poorly by the front desk. He made me feel as if I did not have a reservation. I gave him my itinerary reference ID#.
The gentleman still seemed quite agitated with me. Even though my room had already been paid for through Hotels.com, he required my credit card to have on file. He asked how many guests, I said myself and my fiancé. He said no pets.
I said okay. He gave us a room with 2 queen beds and told me not to touch the other bed. The next day we were getting ready to leave at 8am and the gentleman walked past my car and saw I had a dog in my car. He yelled, no pets allowed in the room.
I said sir, the dog stayed in my car. He continued to tell no pets allowed $250 charge on your credit card. The front desk staff was very unprofessional and did in fact charge my card $250. I advised again that my dog stayed in my car and never entered the room.
He kept yelling $250 charge. I called the police and requested an officer come to the location. Officer Derrick Balazion reported the situation. He advised it was a civil matter and that because there was no signage stating no pets allowed on the property, it would be worth taking Cascade Lodge to court over the $250 charge.
Our room smelt of old, stale cigarette smoke and had less than half a role of toilet paper.
The walls were stained.
The bathtub had no way of holding water. This was an outrageous stay for such a rude and disgusting room.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with product or service ordered. The error was on the hotel, not Hotels.com, but they fixed the problem and the hotel gave us $50 for the inconvenience. All is well that ends well.
I had to book another room at the hotel's rate because we needed to leave for the event we were in town for. I immediately started looking for Hotels.com's phone number on the app and couldn't find it. I went to their website. Nothing.
The first site that popped up with the phone number was pissedcustomer. They made it easy. As soon as I was on the phone with Hotels.com, they were fantastic and found that it was the Hotel's fault.
They got them to cancel the room at full price. The hotel ended up giving us $50 for our troubles.

I paid for a week for a homeless couple not even myself. When they went to check in the hotel wouldn't except their service dog papers they had.
So they couldn't stay. The hotel manager said we wouldn't be charged. I paid 331.00 and hotel.com said they can't refund me. So they keeping the money and saying hotel keeping even tho the hotel never charged me.
I just simply wanted either a refund or to let me use the money I paid for them a different hotel that excepted their dog that's it. So they have been sleeping in their car for past 2 weeks. I don't have any money myself to help them.
I did this through my after pay to make payments on it for them to even be able to stay. So now I have make these payments still and didn't even get to help them like I was trying to do.
Preferred solution: Either refund or just credit towards another hotel

I need to make one thing clear it wasn't hotels.com that I had the issue with it was a go to they did a very small credit back to me for a room that I did not stay in because they never accommodated me for the room I paid for Agoda seems to think that they're not responsible for the people they have underneath there umbrella and the last words they told me when I told them I expect a full refund they said we need to contact the property and it's up to them to give you a full refund that's absurd I've never heard anything so *** backwards including them not assuming responsibility they basically took my money and basically we're delighted to pay the property for not accommodating me for the room I purchased I don't know if this sounds like a reason to have a full refund but call me crazy they are nothing more than crooks everyone that reads my feedback on Agoda I would not use them they also trick you into thinking you're paying a certain amount that they have stated and they have so many slashes between prices you don't know what's up and down they do that on purpose at least hotels.com does not confuse you in the way what you're expecting to spend they might be a little higher with some elaborate hotels but for the general population who stays at middle of the road hotel they are much lower than Agoda Pagoda only has a price that looks appealing and much lower than other places like hotels.com Priceline kayak but Agoda is a ripoff they will rip you off not even blindfolded they'll rip you off while you're unblindfolded that's scary so for all you people out there who use Agoda why why would you want to use a go to when they're not even close to being trustworthy and they refuse to pay my money back along with probably many others they don't want to assume any responsibility who wants to have someone like that claiming to back you up no no way not for me. I say we started class action by having a expert Law firm and Sue the crap out of them or countless issues they have on record like myself it would probably uncover so much fraud they would be forced to go go out of business as they should. Don't use Agoda

Was terrible the hotel stink . There was blood stains on the bed.
I hve pictures . Cigarette burns in the chair and red stains on the carpet. The hotel smelled like weed . And Cigarette smoke .
Started loosing my breath from the smoke had to stay somewhere else . Complained to the front desk Clark and all he said was sorry . Called hotel . Com customer service and the said because they could not r each anyone at the hotel there was nothing that could be done .
I have been trying to get help since 11/12 2023 . No one could help and Emailed pictures of the room and I had hotel protection .
Hotel. Com has the worst customer service.
