Hi.
I booked a hotel on the hotels.com app
There was no mention if the reservation included meals etc
I called hotels.com the same day and spoke to the agent and she also emailed me confirmation that the booking was all inclusive. I arrived at the resort and was told that my package was bed and breakfast.
Despite having an emailed confirmation and telephone confirmation no one is responding or taking responsibility.
This is bordering on a legal issue and breach and I have even sort legal advise on this. I have posted this emailed on social media and many followers are confirming that hotels.com needs to promise what was emailed to me
Furthermore the price I paid was not a bed and breakfast package as I did a price comparison

It took me 3 hours of talking to a representative just to check into the hotel I booked and paid for through Hotels.com. The card that hotel provided the place I was staying with a card that declined.
Not only was the person working the desk just rude, he would not speak to the representative at all. Therefore I had to stand there and relay the messages the entire time between the two. It got soo frustrating I actually left the property and just told the representative that once it had gotten resolved just to take care of it at a different hotel. I did not want to go back to the original one.
It had become a joke at this point but I was just tired and needed to just sleep. Well his words were, we just paid this one already. I asked if he could comp me a night because of the chaos then because when I went back to this hotel that had been paid, he still charged me extra for the room because it was "bigger" and the only one left.
I paid twice for 1 room that had an over 3 hour check in delay because of them and they lief about comping me another more peaceful night somewhere else. I have been loyal to them for years but will not give them another shred of business for the rest of my life.

It sounds like your card declined. To pay for a larger room.
That’s all on the site you booked with and you. Definitely not the hotel’s fault. Also, you are not loyal to the hotel because you used a third party site to book the room. They are getting paid 70-80% of a much discounted rate.
That is why the front desk provided you with no help in dealing with the booking site. Next time book directly with the hotel and you won’t waste three hours.
