Bad experience

DI cancelled my reservation before the cancel period. I was then double charged. They promised a refund and then backed out of the agreement after the charges were posted to my account. Trust me I am doing everything and will do everything to get my money back. I have all the email correspondence and screen shots of the refund. Its disappointing I have been using hotels. Com for a lot of years and now they dont care. Please dont book with hotels.com and work directly with hotel

Problem booking

Room we booked in kansas city mo. On Jan20th. We could pay when we got there and they tried to charge me b4 we got there. We had no room when we got there. We have 2 small children and had to get a room in a not so nice area. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!

Hotels Com - Hotel didn't book my room!

I booked a room through Hotels.com, but when I arrived at the hotel, the desk clerk could not find it. I didn't panic, I found my "Itinerary number" from Hotels.com and gave it to her to search.

Nothing. I then contacted Hotels.com through their chat function in their app and the guy called the hotel receptionist, to which they argued for a bit, with the hotel clerk telling the Hotels.com guy that "sending an email doesn't book a room".

Eventually Hotels.com gave me a refund so I could book directly with the hotel, but it was $70 more expensive than what I originally booked it for.

TL;DR: Hotels.com emailed the hotel to book my reservation, but the hotel doesn't work that way. Took me an hour and $70 more to get a room booked at same hotel.

Hats off to 2 hotels.com employees

My email account was hacked and hence was unable to get to my hotels.com account. Before Xmas, I was given a case number and told to call after all my newly booked nights were completed. So i did, and i had 2 wonderful gentlemen, who consolidated all my nights into one account. One was Mike, and the other, whose name I forget, were extraordinary. Never rcvd hotels.com egift card through my carecredits mastercard rewards card that was placed August 1st. Difficulty understanding the hotels.com representative. I was asked to attach proof to a test email. Being a senior citizen, it took me a moment to figure out how. They lack any kind of patience and skill communicating with the public. Call was discontinued and issue unresolved.

Resetting your app

Brutal. After an hour on hold and getting through I got hung up on. I only want to fix my app I cant seem to get into it and you dont give enough time to to enter the code that goes to my email.
