Booked a room for 2 nights through Hotels.com and found out from other guests that I paid 50% more than they did by booking directly with hotel. One friend's room was also superior in terms of location and layout to mine - despite the room rate being significantly less than mine.
I informed Hotels.com of the circumstances and requested a refund since they have a "Price Match Guarantee". Hotels.com basically told me to "shove it".
They made no effort to appease an unhappy customer. My recommendation to everyone out there: DO NOT BOOK HOTELS THROUGH HOTELS.COM
Monetary Loss: $100.
